Slowing down the Swedish Way with Moccis

I was recently asked by Moccis to bring a little bit of Scandinavian lifestyle into my own home and routine and couldn't wait dive straight in and embrace slowing down and getting cosy this winter season.

Like most people I love Christmas especially since becoming a mum as it's just so exciting and magical but can also be overwhelming, trying and stressful although it really doesn't have to be and the Scandinavians seem to have the key when it comes to balance and staying mindful not matter what time of the year it is. Most have heard of the Danish Hygge but the Swedes have their own version - Lagom, the art of being contented and thats something I really want to learn more about.

So what is this Lagom that everyone is talking about? Well it's basically creating a happier and balanced life all year round and being more sustainable, making less waste and living more consciously without depriving yourself of the things you love. Well I have talked many times about being a true believer that less is more, investing in quality items and enjoying the simple pleasures in life. Being the mother to a very active toddler I often feel exhausted but I am determined to try and make the weekends a slower affair, to not be so rushed in the mornings and to spend some time reading books to my youngest, enjoying the natural morning light, warm drinks under a duvet and just being mindful of the moment.

Lagom is also all about being comfortable and cosy and one thing I really dont like is having cold feet but being a shoes-off kind of house slippers is a must but as usual my kids ones always fall off or get pulled off far too easily. Well the Swedish have sold that problem too with quality, hand sewn, Scandinavian Moccis which are so warm and comfortable and I actually struggle to get my son to take them off as he would of slept in them if he could. Keeping within the theme I chose the Lagom patterned Moccis but they have an array of designs and sizes to choose from to keep every member of the family happy. 

These are great for active kids as they have be designed with parents in mind as they are designed with invisible elastic to ensure the product holds it shape, doesn't fall down or irritate your Childs feet as well as promoting muscle growth and in turn are safer than common slippers and socks. They are however not only for children and I doubt I will ever go back to normal slippers after wearing these are its they keep my feet so warm and toasty, plus I love that they are ethically produced and completely washable as well as being stylish and capturing that traditional moccasin look.

Staying within the theme I chose the Lagom patterned Moccis but they have an array of designs and sizes to choose from to keep every member of the family happy from very young babies, kids, teenagers and mum and day, they can all get in on the Moccis fun. They are so beautiful made and hand sewn with care that they make for wonderful Christmas presents.
