I always feel that Dads get a little typed cast and opting for a gift box of Lynx is certainly not going to cut the mustard. As they say it's the thought that counts and of course it does which is why instead of purchasing a few things that are not actually useful or realistically will be used what is the point? I always feel less is more and getting one very thoughtful gift is far better than a few cliche buys.
I have been working with Braun to share my thoughts on sensitive Dads and how their whole world changes when they become parents just like us mums. You can read more about it here. Of course the Braun Series 3 ProSkin is a fantastic option for Dads this year and a number one choice but I thought I would share a few other unique gifts for the man in your life.
1. Klean Kanteen insulated steel bottle by Patagonia £29
2. Fjallraven Greenland Backpack £105
3. Ralph Lauren Breton Striped Top £95
4. Asos Vintage round sunglasses £12
5. Clarks Originals Wallabee shoes £90
6. Patagonia Trucker hat £25
7. Adventure Begins Mug £9.95
As I mentioned before this ProSkin shaver is an excellent choice for sensitive skin at it offers a close but smooth shave and is the perfect bathroom accessory for dads on the move who want to make sure they look good in no time at all. These shavers retail at around £65 and can be purchased from Amazon. If hair loss is an issue you could approach is sensitively and arrange a consultation at Boots who offer support and hair-loss program, or Harley Street who have an array of options or try a hair replacement system for men.
So sometimes men can just be typical men and John does like beer but he hardly ever cooks so when I saw this cooking with beer book I thought perhaps it would inspire him to pick up a pan and have a go at creating something edible in the hopes he may do this once a week (a win win for us all). Also these parody Ladybird books are so funny and The Dad book is no exception - a great fun choice.
My last gift in the guide is this tee from the ethical mens wear online store - Brothers We Stand. This particular tee is from a brand called Idioma and is made in a wind powered factory using 100% organic cotton. They offer fantastic ethical fashion wears and this t-shirt comes in at £35
*Disclosure: I’m working in a paid relationship with Britmums and Braun and their #SensitiveDads campaign. All the gift ideas mentioned in this post are all products we genuinely love or products we would love to have.
Love your suggestions - the Braun shaver and Adventure Begins Camping Mug are both gifts my husband would love.
