Both John and I are on the go for most of the day, especially John whose work means he is standing for hours on end and has been suffering with a bad back for the past year, it's been so bad that at one point he was visiting a Chiropractor fortnightly and having to take anti-inflammatories daily. We knew something had to change, especially in the run up to Christmas which is somewhat of a stressful time for most and when your not getting a good nights sleep this is only personified.
John felt that our current mattress was too soft and not offering him enough support where he needed it most. Luckily the amazing people at Bruno Sleep asked if we would like to put one of their 7-zone support ergonomic design mattress to the test which is meant to relieve pressure and promote a healthier spinal alignment which would hopefully mean a better night sleep and less aches and pains.
The bedroom should provide a place of sanctuary where you can destress at the end of a busy day, read a book, get cosy and relax but up until this point both John and I had put off going to be due to simply not being comfortable. Unfortunately my youngest doesn't sleep very well either which has meant broken nights for the past 18months but during the times he does sleep I struggle to switch off so making our bedroom as calm and comforting as possible for those short spells I get to rest was also very important.
Firstly the mattress arrives from Germany, where it's made, hand processed and examined to make sure it meets their high standards and is shipped free of charge to the UK, neatly packed in a box. Once opened the mattress expands (An unboxing video will be live on my YouTube channel very soon) and you are pretty much ready to go. Bruno believe so strongly in their product and long lasting durability that they offer a 10 year guarantee which is amazing!
So how have we found using the Bruno mattress, well for one thing John no longer has to visit the Chiropractor or take anti-inflamattories, he still occasionally suffers from lower back pain due to bending over a lot at work but this has massively improved and we could not recommend this mattress higher if you do have any trouble with your back or simple are looking for a very comfortable nights sleep
What was also an important factor to myself if the ethical side of things and I am happy to say that Bruno has made using safe materials an priority to them and the Bruno Mattress is certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and is for from harmful substances and chemicals.
We now actually want to spend time reading and relaxing in our bedroom, especially on lazy Sunday morning when the kids climb in too. Nothing is more important to bring stress levels down than a good night sleep, especially in the run up to Christmas.
Thanks to Bruno Sleep for inviting us to review their King Size mattress
