Dressing up your table for Christmas

Christmas kitchen table

Is there anything better than sitting around a beautiful table with friends and family at Christmas time? It's always been something we have done as a family and my parents often threw big parties on Christmas eve for all the family, we had a huge dinning room table that sat about 12 people and my mother would spent days preparing the centrepieces which became just as important as the food.

It's really fun having our own home and with the baton truly handed over we are now the ones hosting most of the dinner parties. This has got me thinking about how we are going to decorated our Christmas table and thought it would be a good time to get everything out and bring that festive feel into our kitchen

I love bringing nature into the home as some of you will already know if you read the blog regularly but I also want pops of colour and love the floral napkins paired with Holly berries and fresh flowers.
The wreath I made last month over some yummy cake and coffee in Bristol thanks to Laura Ashley, the candle holders and table runner are from Ikea and the wooden hearts I recently purchased at a local Christmas market.

The lovely people over at Furniture Choice who have some amazing dinning room tables set me this challenge to dress up my table and I had so much fun doing it. How are you planning to dress your table for Christmas?
