Oh how I do love Halloween, it's such a fun holiday in which one can dress up, be creative an enjoy the simple things like carving pumpkins and bobbing for apples. Mr A loved it last year when his nanny put on a pink wig and this year I thought I would put together a really simple Halloween makeup vlog using some Rimmel goodies I picked up at Boots.
Having a little one at home meant that I opted for a family friendly look and as Mr A loves Cats it seemed like the perfect choice. I have put together a fun little blog that will hopefully inspire you to get creative and in the Halloween mood - plus this cat face is super quick and easy so no excuses really.
The products I picked up to create the look are pretty much everyday pieces and I am really impressed with the quality and price point that Rimmel offers.
Here is what I used
Match Perfection Ultra Creamy Compact Powder
Hide the Blemish Concealer
Smokey Brun Quad Eye Shadow
Starry-eye lasting finish lipstick - my favourite
Scandal Eyes precision eyeliner
With Boots stocking such a large selection of Rimmel products I felt really spoilt for choice and could of picked up tons more but very happy with my selections.
So how did I get the look -
Basically I use a tinted moisturiser so I simply smoothed this out by going over it with the Match Perfection compact powder as well as dabbing on some Concealer under my eyes. I then used the Quad Eyeshadow to create a light gold effect on the eyes after which I used the liner to finish the cat eye look as well as using it to make the whiskers and nose and to finish off the plum shade lipstick which is perfect for Autumn and the festive season. See quick and simple.

ReplyDeleteYou look so cute! I loved this post. I'm a big Scandal Eyes fan too. Started buying it when Barry M discontinued a similar product they used to sell. I love that it stays put - my skin has a tendency to get oily. I really enjoyed your video too. More, please! :)

ReplyDeleteCute, I'll definitely try this if I dress up as a cat again (which is highly likely)!
