London, Birthday and Premier Inn

Premier Inn St Pancras
Mr A loved the comfy king sized bed

On our way back from France we arrived into St Pancras in the afternoon and decided to spend a night in London as it was Mr A's birthday the next day and wanted it to be a fun and relaxed affair. It was actually perfect timing as it coincided with the opening of the new and super stylish Premier Inn St Pancras which could not be closer and more convenient to the station.

When we arrived we were given a warm welcome from the reception staff and right from the start this felt like a new experience in terms of what Premier Inn is starting to offer - Style on Budget. We were given a family room which was lovely and large with a huge window and large comfy hypnos king sized bed. That evening we tried out the Thyme Restaurant in the hotel which offers lots of family friendly meals, I had the Wild mushroom Risotto, John went for the mixed Grill and Mr A the tomato pasta, it was very tasty and the perfect way to end a long day. By the end of it we all basically passed out in the room before waking up to a lovely breakfast.

We were all pleasantly surprised with Premier Inn St Pancras - it was very clean, well designed, spacious and the staff were always friendly. I would 100% stay here again and we both felt it was perfect for families, which is something that is important to us.

Good night

After we checked out using the very modern touch screen computers we headed off to one of Mr A's favourite places for a little birthday treat - the Natural History Museum, as he loves to see the dinosaurs. We said he could pick anything one toy he wanted from the museum shop and he went for a Triceratops in the end, which didn't leave his side until we got back to Wales

London life

We love spending time in London and luckily we get to visit the city quite often but it's always a treat to spend a night in the big smoke and not have to rush around like we normally do. Mr A had a great time and really enjoyed his birthday on the road.

We were guests of Premier Inn but words and thoughts are 100% our own

  1. We were at the Natural History Museum on Sunday! We only had a limited time there so didn't want to cue for the dinosaurs in case Talitha got scared, which is quite likely. Looks like a had a lovely stay at Premier Inn. Such a good idea to break up the journey. What a treat for your little birthday boy!

  2. Ah that triceratops, awesome present. I'm a big premier inn fan, the one near Euston is so handy when I pop down to London (which rarely happens these days) x

  5. What a lovely way to spend a birthday. We did 3 years old at Thomas Land and 4 years old at Peppa Pig World. He is yet to have a birthday party. The cost of his Baptism party kind of put me off.
Love that he is keeping the dinosaur by his side, Aaron would do the very same.

  6. We stayed at the Premier Inn Blackfriars recently and loved it too. I think the Thyme restaurant is brilliant and I love their good night guarantee. They offer a great way to be able to afford London!
