So as some of you may already know just under two weeks ago I had minor surgery and after anything like that there is a period of recovery. Some days have been great others I have been totally and utterly exhausted but with each day my energy levels are going back up and my heart rhythm is returning to fairly normal. I have been doing a lot of pottering around the garden, of course without any heavy lifting and a few half an hour walks but on friday the little man and I managed a two hour walk in a local park - this has been by the far the best mental recovery for me as staying indoors has only been frustrating. I now feel like I am almost back to normal which is good and love nothing more than exploring the outdoors with my little man.
The great thing about Hailey Park is that is has large fields to run on, a woodland area, a play park and a river as we like places that are a little bit more three dimension in terms of what we can explore from looking at all the snails in the cracks in the trees to watching the ducks on the river it makes for a longer adventure.
I am so glad that even though the surgery was not successful that it's not going to effect our summer to much as we have so many adventures and travels planned and cannot wait to share more fun moments with you and my feet are far more happy now we can enjoy the green grass and sunshine again.
I am so sorry to hear that your surgery was not successful. What will they do now? On the plus side 2 hours in the park is just what you need and the photos are wonderful. It does look like a great park with plenty there to keep all the family busy. Thankyou for joining me for Country Kids
ReplyDeleteI'm having total park jealousy. Our parks (with the arrival of the summer heat) have turned brown and ugly and all the green of yours... we need that! So happy you've recovered from your surgery... I can't even imagine how that is when you have a small child!
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you are getting better. This trip looks like a fun one =) #countrykids
ReplyDeleteWell done for getting out - 2 hours is a long time. I am sorry to hear that the surgery was unsuccessful but glad you are able to remain so positive.
