So last week I was lucky enough to be invited to the Next Home-ware blogger event in Cardiff. It was a great day out with some inspiring interiors, stylish bloggers and high tea in a penthouse suite at St Davids hotel. The day started out with a tour of the Next store in Leckwith Cardiff, which is amazing by the way - it's so huge and has an amazing homes section.
I loved all the room sets and there is a real nautical theme this season as well as a crafty, home-made element, especially with their cute cushion covers. They have some great accessories and they are all very reasonably priced, more than I expected. The furniture can be quite expensive but is solid, well made, has designer features and worth the little bit extra.
After we had a good look around the store, picking up a few bits and bobs for the house (I love my new bicycle tea candle holder) we made our way to St Davids Hotel to watch the new Next home wear TV advert and have a spot of pampering with manicures and cream tea. This also gave everyone the opportunity to have a chat and I finally got to meet Rosie from a Pocket full of Rosie , Helen from Forty percent fringe Sixty percent face, Briley from Thoughts by Briley, Kelsie from Cute Pandaa and Georgina from Makeup Pixi3 among many other cool bloggers.
In all my time living in Wales I have been past St Davids so many times but never actually been in, the penhouse suite was impressive, as was the view over the bay, it had a big bed and big comfy sofas. The food was vey yummy with some great veggie options, as well as lovely little brownies, scones and chocolate muffins.
It was a really fun day and I truely was impressed with Next home selection, price and unique touches in comparison to other similar stores, they really are worth checking out when you feel your home needs a bit of sparkle. Check out the TV video at the button of this post for some more inspiration.

you took some lovely photos! we are doing my house up on a budget and have got most of our stuff from Next or Wilkinsons and I've been added lots of second hand charity ship finds to give it a bit more character. Next is very affordable and I have a Next account so I bought my bed, light fitments and bedding and spread the cost which is handy.
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous! ;-) I love that hotel. Glad you had a lovely time :-) xxx
ReplyDeleteWow what a fun event! We have been married for almost ten years and in that time have moved so much that we have lost and had to part with so many things in the household goods department. Being together ten years even constitutes a reason to revamp and redecorate. But since we iust moved again in December we are still needing a few key furniture items. I cannot wait to decorate more and give it more a style. I definitely have my eye on all things charity shop, ebay, and amazon to get great deals on a limited budget.
