A little Spa getaway for mothers day

02/03/2013

Dorset is home to some of the most beautiful and dramatic coastal scenery in the UK and whilst under the spell of a Hawaiian massage, it can be easy to imagine this holiday spot as an island location, much closer to the equator. Relaxing into a full three hours of spa treatment while the tots and teenagers explore a nearby nature reserve with dad sounds like bliss to me! Rockley Park apart of Haven is one of the biggest holiday parks in Poole and really does have something for everybody, including a luxury spa facility specifically designed for hard-working mums, and a local beach, water-sports and all-weather activities for the kids - win win for everyone

Haven Spa

Rockley Park’s Spa
This is a luxury spa experience complete with fresh towels, fluffy robes and comfy slippers – everything you could wish for…
Chocolate Paradise
A solution of liquefied chocolate blended with natural minerals is applied to the face and body, leaving the skin feeling silky smooth. On top of the regenerative feeling, mum can enjoy that soothing smell of melted chocolate throughout the entire session - heaven.
What about a sugar cane foot scrub to finish off? Cleansing the feet of any dead skin cells, the masseuse prepares them to be glazed in the same chocolate melt as before – helping to release happiness hormones and prove that chocolate is good for you after all.

Hot Mud Therapy
This relaxing full-body massage revitalises the skin and soothes the tenderest of muscles, using a combination of heat and Dead Sea Mud. It starts with a total skin exfoliation before the body is enveloped in mud that is sourced from the very bottom of the ocean.
The mind is then relaxed by a gentle scalp massage and is the ultimate way to ease mum into ‘holiday mode’.

John and I are both believers in holidays both abroad and at home, the UK has a lot to offer, some amazing landscapes, rugged coastlines and family friendly campsites such as Haven and it can often be a little easier on your wallet as well as time. With not costly flights or long delays, it really is something to be considered.

Booking a holiday at Rockley Park
Mothering Sunday falls on March 11th this year and the park doesn’t open until the 15th but mum won’t mind a little delay if her gift is this good. On the other hand, there’s always the option to book Easterbreaks at Haven now and roll the two occasions into one big family get-together.

Heads up:
You can save up to 40% by booking early - on top of your holiday home, water, gas, electricity, parking space and insurance being included within the price, the whole family gets all of this for free:
  • On-park nature reserve
  • Heated indoor pool (plus toddler paddling area)
  • Indoor SplashZone Grotto
  • Water confidence lessons
  • Fun inflatables
  • All-weather sports area
  • Tennis courts
  • Archery
  • Fencing
  • Football coaching
There are ‘mini’ versions of the sports activities for the littler ones in the family and so mum has it all covered – everybody gets to enjoy an early holidayin 2013, while she slips away into an oasis-like spa for some proper me-time.
