John wearing YMC |
With winter well on the way John wanted to share some picks from some of his favourite brands from the very cool menswear store Northern Threads. Northern Threads fits perfectly to Johns style as their ethos is to be a forward thinking independent menswear store and stocks lots of British heritage brands. We have also put together a few smaller accessory items that would be a perfect christmas present for the other half. One of Johns first go to heritage brands is of course Barbour, which are doing some amazing clothes for this season. Barbour which was established in 1894 is British to the core and is seen as a global heritage brand know for it's beautiful tailored, classically designs and functional clothing

Here are a few more great products and some more affordable smaller items that would be perfect as a present for the special man, brother or father in your family. The great things about heritage labels is they are classics and last a long time both in style, quality and years of wear you get out of them. The Barbour jacket and Clarks originals John is wearing in the photo above are both around 10 years old and have lasted many cold winters with no problems, this is partially down to John who really looks after his clothes but also down to the quality of the cloth, fabric and craftsmanship of the products. We both believe in less is more in terms of having less clothes but better quality ones so they last for years and my even be passed down, which I know John intends to do with Arthur.
