I have always been a fan of Gok Wan as I think he has really helped a lot of women feel comfortable with there body-shape and embrace what they have and how to work it best with amazing advice on using your wardrobe to full effect. He also really goes against the grain by working a lot with the public and general consumers rather than stick thin models in what is a very fickle industry.
The launch took place at the ever so stylish Kuku Club (part of the park plaza hotel) and was the perfect venue, with low lighting and a middle eastern Moroccan feel with large ornate lanterns hanging from the ceiling, it felt very luxurious and I think I will have to go back sometime soon.

After Gok Wan finished with his press interviews all the bloggers were invited for a Q&A session with the man himself. It's really hard to tell what people are like when you only see them on TV but he came across as a really genuinely nice person who was articulate and gave very informative answers to all our on the spot questions. I asked what he thought of blogging in the fashion industry today and he was very positive saying that we play an important role and that we have a real place in the fashion industry. I also asked what new projects he had lined up for the next year and he was a little tight lipped but what we did find out is there is a lot of filming being done for various TV shows, so what this space.

So I have to admit I didn't have my lovely Canon 5D on me for the launch #fail as I had been away the evening before and didn't have time to go back home to get it so all the photos where taken on my compact, hence some grainy image quality but since the day had quite a retro feel to it, it kind of fits. So here is a mini outfit lowdown of what I wore for the launch
