Me in my favourite Clarks brogues |
One of my favourite multi-purpose shoe for days spent in the city, events, going out for drinks or just running errands has got to be a pair of brogues - they are so versatile and practical but also stylish and I have my eye of a few for Christmas. They are perfect for Autumn and winter weather and pair up so well with skinny jeans or black trousers. What is also great about brogues is that they are a perfect "his & her" option and the work equally well for men for work and socialising have to be one o our favourite kind of footwear.
I love these Moorgate brogues by Asos |
It's been a while since I picked up a new pair and I have worn my current two pairs to the maximum plus I want to move on from my patent or two tone pairs and go for perhaps a pastel option or something a little softer and John is also looking to pick up another pair for work. At the moment the top of my list are these are these beautiful dusty pink Asos Moorgate Brogues and the navy blue Clarks while John has been saving up to get a classic pair of Greyson brogues which have been made by skilled craftsmen in a traditional way for more than 100 years.
Grensons are Johns top pick |
Getting a good pair of brogues is worth the investment especially if your going to use them as a work shoe and we get a lot of use out of them but if you cannot afford the heavier price tag of around £200 for a pair of Grensons you can always look for something a bit more reasonable from M and M Direct which offer a range of brands at up to 75% off, including Fred Perry, Lacoste and Hunter to name a few.

1. Peter Werth Derby Brogues £39.99
2. Orginal Penguin Brogues £29.99
3. Onfire Brogues £34.99

Oh I do love brogues! I have three pairs - burgundy patent, gunmetal grey, and cream leather and suede, all from Clarks. I love how as you say they are so versatile, and they are a good complement to many outfits. I like too how Clarks offer ribbon laces which gives them an extra feminine touch xx
