Beautiful bank Holiday

I don't know about you but the Monday just past was one of the best Bank Holidays weather wise the UK has seen in a long time, and it provided almost and instant mood lift for the country, everyone seems happier when the sun is out. This is what we did and what I wore...

Thrifted White Stuff dress, Ralph Lauren denim shirt, Gifted necklace

I hate the feeling of jeans or trousers on my legs on a hot day so I wanted something a bit more loose, although there was still a little bit of a wind so I opted for a denim shirt to keep my shoulders warm.
The dress is a thrifted White Stuff dress, the shirt was a treat from John and is a Ralph Lauren denim and supply shirt and I really love the Aztec beaded design on the shoulders, the necklace was a present from my mother and I have been wearing for years.

We actually started the day by going to Whitchurch annual May Day Carnival, as again this is an area we are looking at with the possibility of moving, but the Carnival was so busy and a little too much for Mr A so we decided to go for a walk and explore the area and found a lovely little park, where we rain around, played hide and seek, kicked a ball and enjoyed the sun.

My A really enjoyed some quality Daddy time, John is very hands on anyway but it's not often we have such great weather on his days off, even though we spend nearly every one of his days off outside or doing something active it was great to see him throwing and kicking the ball to Mr A and not been limited to the time because we where freezing or it was starting to rain.

We pretty much spent all day outside, as I packed a little lunch for us to keep us going through the day and we covered Mr A in sun lotion although John did get a little bit burnt - it takes a bit more to have any effect on my skin after growing up in South Africa.

I also took my first proper summer sandal picture of the year, I bought these sandals from New Look last year and they have really stood up, as I used them quite a bit last year and they are as new, I love them, stylish and simple I just hope there are many more sunny and lovely days this summer so I can rock these sandals, fingers crossed.
